Despite not being a fan initially, the 32-year-old model credits someone she dated for helping change her mind. She even attended one of Swift’s concerts on The Eras Tour and enjoyed the show. Ratajkowski admitted to having some snobbery around her generation and not listening to pop music much before. However, she learned from one of her former partners that just because something is popular doesn’t mean it isn’t excellent. It’s worth noting that Ratajkowski has previously dated Harry Styles, who shares an ex with Swift.

Amazingly, the individual also shared that they attended a recent performance by the popular artist known as Midnight, who is 33 years old, during their ongoing The Eras Tour. They had a great time at the concert.

She expressed that often, popular things are popular for a reason – because they’re truly excellent. She admitted to having a change of heart about Taylor Swift, going from not being a fan to becoming a devoted admirer. She acknowledged that her previous attitude towards Swift may have been influenced by misogyny. However, after attending one of Swift’s concerts and witnessing her remarkable songwriting and performance skills, she realized that anyone who discredits her talent must have personal issues or a lack of refined taste. In fact, she boldly claimed that anyone who doesn’t appreciate Taylor Swift simply doesn’t understand what true excellence is. Previously, she even defended Swift after an old clip of the singer on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show resurfaced and received backlash. Last May, she also shared a TikTok video of herself enjoying one of Swift’s shows in New Jersey.

During her recent podcast episode of High Low with EmRata, the 32-year-old model revealed that she wasn’t much into the singer’s music until she dated someone who changed her perspective.

Upon experiencing her live performance, I couldn’t help but think, “Wow, this artist is truly exceptional both as a songwriter and a performer.” To me, anyone who would argue otherwise must have some sort of personal biases or a lack of refined taste in music. Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed with this multi-talented Grammy winner.

After attending Taylor Swift’s concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey last May, she expressed a change of heart saying, “If you’re not a fan of Taylor Swift, then you’re missing out on something special.”

According to Ratajkowski, the video that ridiculed the singer and her romantic relationships is another instance of blatant sexism and hostility towards women. However, people seem to ignore this issue because the target is a successful and powerful white woman. Ratajkowski believes it is crucial to bring up various reasons as to why this behavior is unacceptable. She found the clip particularly bothersome since the singer explicitly expressed her discomfort with the situation, yet everyone seemed to find it amusing, which left her feeling very upset.
